SENSELESS

60 min creation: premiere during "Le Langage des Viscères", Auditorium Saint-Germain, Paris, March 2017

“Senseless” is the story of a group of individuals one by one appearing in the space without a trace of memory who they are and why they are now here. They explore the space and their limitations as each of them has lost one of their senses. They go through various transformations remembering what had happen to them in the distant future. Finally one by one they remember their humanity by accessing the last emotions they have experienced before the oblivion. They relive the emotions of the past awakening the forgotten memories in an attempt to regain their lost humanity and collective identity. ,
The human condition is the main subject matter investigating the wide pallet of emotions & issues. The focus lies on the individual versus collective & mutual interdependency. The cornerstone is the presence & authentic body movement beyond conditioned patterns & interference of the mind. The members of the team come from the diverse disciplines however united by Butoh practice.
