Live performance
"Not A Love Story"

Dance: Sakurako (butoh)  & Phil Von (electric flamenco)
Sound & vocal: Phil Von (Von Magnet)

After few days on intense collaboration, a live performance "Not A Love Story" was created and performed live  together with a special guest Phil Von (Von Magnet) from France at the Bookstore Project as a part of the AIR where the artist is currently working on the "Re-United Now-Here" project with various guest artists.

Gina & Phil

Two dancers facing each other across the room.  Silence. A subtle at first but increasingly growing sound of flamenco shoes in dialogue with monotonic continuesly sliding pokuri (geisha) shoes builds up the tension creating a special space where audience gets drown into to experience attraction & resistance, push and pull in an attempt to maintain/break the balance. To the sound of "Your Slave" the pokuri are replaced by the red high heals under the long black dress, and until then nearly motionless body of Sakurako transforms to tell the passionate story of seduction, pleasing and power struggle within the love/hate human relationship resonating with the lyrics of "Your Slave" performed live by Phil Von. Finally, a surrender in an attempt to establish a communication between bare feet body and voice without words. A fragile encounter of two beings becomes present.
