Re-United Now-Here

On behalf of the artist I would like announce that currently I am working on fundraising to produce the next edition of the "Re-United Now-Here". The first pilot performance was created by the artist together with an international team of 13 dancers and performed on site at NDSM in Amsterdam during the HENK festival in July 2012. The original soundtrack for the piece was created by Jason Lanox.

The story of karmic love, mortal enemies and friendships lasting for several lives is told through movement and gesture combining various dance: ballet, butoh, hop-hop, jazz, contemporary dance, etc. The wide rage of human emotions is explored to question what are the core shared universal human values.

The next step is produce the first episode of this myth like saga focusing on the main characters and their interrelations.
The story is set in the ancient Japan, the time when the spirits were able to descend to the realm of humans to provide the guidance. The love story between the spirit of Sakura as a geisha and a human samurai  is told, which broke the law maintaining balance between the spirit and human worlds. They were betrayed by the envious spirit of Typhoon dwelling as a maiko, who was suffering from the unanswered love to Sakura. The spirit of rainbow was sent as a taikomochi to maintain the peace within unbalanced human world caused by both spirits, however his failing attempts just escalated the situation. The result was the outbreak of the war between two rivals, started by the revenge seeking human War Lord. The first episodes ends with tragic death of all the main characters, bound to meet time and time again during the countless reincarnations until they will redeem themselves by restoring their honor and bringing the balance to the world.
